Dave Bristol is a former manager in Major League Baseball in the 1960s and 1970s. He managed the Cincinnati Reds, Milwaukee Brewers, Atlanta Braves, and San Francisco Giants during this period.
Many give Dave a lot of credit for building The Big Red Machine of the Cincinnati Reds in the 1970's. Dave took over the club as manager on July 13 1966. At 33 years of age, and was the youngest manager in the Major Leagues that season, through to 1969. Dave guided the Reds through 3 & 1/2 winning seasons,
In 2018 Dave Bristol was inducted into Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame.
Dave has been a participant at the Darrel Chaney Invitational for United Way of White County for 17 years and we welcome him back again!
